The owners of this luminous home in Queensland wanted to enjoy the summer weather without the nuisance of the direct sunlight and overwhelming heat that comes along with it.
With a large patio and windows facing west, the home required shading solutions that would block out the sun’s afternoon heat and glare without blocking out the home’s stunning views.
To solve the home’s sun problems, Issey installed two folding arm Laguna awnings to protect and shade the outdoor patio.
On the upper-level windows we installed two external Vertiroll blinds to help keep the interiors cool. We were able to maintain their views while still allowing for adequate sun protection by using a 90% UV blockout fabric on the vertical blinds.
